Mustang Dining provided by Sodexo this fall

Southwest Minnesota State University students, faculty and staff will see new faces, flavors and experiences across campus dining this fall. Sodexo joins the SMSU community as the University’s new dining services partner, with Charlie Rattler III, General Manager and Joe Lee Brau, Operations Manager leading the onsite dining team.
Meet the Team
Charlie is an SMSU graduate with more than 20 years of experience in the food service industry. A proud father of five, he enjoys spending time with his family and playing basketball when he’s not at work.
Joe Lee studied Hotel and Restaurant Management at Southwest and has built her career in food service, working her way from food service worker to catering assistant and now Operations Manager. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, golfing and traveling to Minnesota’s North Shore. Her family also has deep roots in the Marshall community through Brau Brothers Brewing.
What’s New
Students will find several new options across campus. Sub Hub will offer signature subs along with Red Baron Personal Pan Pizzas, including specialty and build-your-own options.
At Gold N’ Brew, students can try Stangers Energy Brews, a new lineup of flavored energy beverages created for Mustangs.
The C-Store also introduces Mashgin checkout technology, providing a quick and convenient way to check out.
Beyond the everyday menu, Mustang Dining has a full calendar of events and special programming planned throughout the year. Students can look forward to themed meals, seasonal celebrations, national food days and recurring experiences like Big City Bites, featuring flavors inspired by cities across North America.

And there’s more ahead. As future construction and improvements take shape, the SMSU community can expect additional changes to the campus dining experience in the years to come.
