Interdisciplinary Tutoring
The Deeann Griebel Student Success Center in Individualized Learning (IL) 224 offers free drop-in tutoring in multiple courses. Subject areas may vary each semester and are based on student needs. Tutoring can support retention and completion efforts, improve course grades, and enhance satisfaction with the college experience. An advantage of interdisciplinary tutoring is the peer-facilitated learning experience provided by fellow students who have successfully completed coursework in their tutoring subject areas and have been recommended by faculty. Peer tutors are level 1 certified by the College Reading & Learning Association (CRLA).
All SMSU students are eligible for free, subject-specific tutoring to help them become more familiar with and comfortable with challenging course content. We work with students from all backgrounds and abilities.
